Nidesoft Sansa Video Converter is a multi-format video converter. The application can open pretty much any of the most popular video file formats and can convert those files into several other formats. Of course, it can convert files to the MP4 format, which Sandisk media players can play quite well, but it can also convert files to AVI, FLV, WMV, 3GP, MOV, MP3, MP2, AAC, WMA, and WAV. There even are conversion profiles for the PSP, iPhone, Creative Zen, Pocket PC, Archos, Xbox 360, etc.
The application has a video player that you can use to preview your video, but not the actual conversion process. There is a video editor that you can use for basic editing tasks, like cropping, trimming, and adding video effects.
In my testing, I added an FLV file and converted it into the Sansa MP4 format, just to test the converter's supposedly main format. The conversion process was quick and the resulting file played OK on VLC. Sound quality was great and the video was identical to the source file, albeit with a smaller resolution.
